The 14th International Conference on Wired/Wireless Internet Communications - WWIC 2016 - will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on May 25-27, 2016.
The conference constitutes a forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest results in the field of wired/wireless networks and aims at providing research directions and fostering collaborations among the participants. In this context, the program committee accepts a limited number of papers that meet the criteria of originality, presentation quality and topic relevance. IFIP WWIC is a single-track conference which has reached, over the last 13 years, a high quality level, which is reflected by the paper acceptance rate as well as the level of attendance. Following the conference tradition, there is a best paper award.
The IFIP WWIC 2016 is taking place at the magnificent hotel Electra Palace in Thessaloniki, which is the 2nd largest Greek city. The conference venue is on Aristotelous Square, right in the city center, really close to major monuments and city sights. Thessaloniki is a port city on the Thermaic Gulf of the Aegean Sea. Much of its center was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1917. Evidence of its Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman history remains, especially around Ano Poli, the upper town. The rebuilt 20th-century city has a modern European layout, and is a hub for international trade and culture.
